Praise the Lord Pastor.
With a very heavy heart I am writing to you
a report of this year 2021.
As you all know our country India has been
badly effected by this Pandemic, especially the second wave have had a
devastated effect on the whole country and also our family.
We have lost our pastor and my husband Pastor
Parimal Halder in the second wave of Covid 19 on the 5th April 2021.
He left us due to Covid Pneumonia and also lack of treatment. We as family
could do nothing for him. I and my daughter Esther are heartbroken and
disappointed. This was so unexpected by us but God definitely had a different
plan.
We were trying to cope up with life where
God decided to test us once again. Santosh, got effected badly with Covid
pneumonia and was hospitalized, early May of this year. We went through the
same hardship for him as like our pastor. There were no hospital beds or any
treatment available at that point of time. But my daughter Esther with God`s
guidance tried hard to save her husband and give him the best treatment
possible, his lungs were 80% effected and doctor s almost had no hope for him
but we kept our hope on God and He did a miracle. After a long battle Esther brought him home and we
couldn`t thank God enough for it. Santosh is still very weak and going under
medication. We want you to continue to pray for him. Even with a stone in our
heart we continue to serve the kingdom of God.
Pastor,
you and elder Kwon have been so supportive towards us during this hard time.
My
son-in-law Santosh has been acting as the present active pastor in our church
now. We plan to ordained him as soon as possible but waiting for you to do it.
So kindly guide us for the same.
Our church members are also facing problem
financially, hence we are trying to support them as much as possible. We are
providing them with food items like rice, pulse, flour etc. monthly and also
individually in whichever way possible.
Our country is facing a lot of challenges with vaccination and there is inadequate
vaccine in west Bengal as well.
Most of our church members are not vaccinated
yet, as they need to take vaccine from private hospital paying RS 700/- for a single
dose. We as church want to support them but fail to do it, as we have no
income.
As you know schools are off since two years
now. But we have been paying full salary
to the teachers all these two years. Count
of students have come down to 50% of the total, amongst which most of them
doesn’t pay school fees properly. So it has become very difficult for
me to continue like this, yet with God`s grace I am doing it.
Esther and Santosh are gradually taking
over the ministry now, hence I need your support for both of them.
We can`t thank you and elder Kwon enough for all that you have
been doing . You are more than a family to us.
Also continue praying for Gifta and Graham
for God`s wisdom and guidance in their lives. Specially Gifta is so fond of you
and elder Kwon, she keeps talking of you and your country all the time. Please uphold her in your prayer so that God
helps her to fulfill her dream.
We are very happy to let you know that
finally after five months of time, we are able to organize pastor Parimal`s memorial service which will be held on 10th September 2021.
